If you opt out of "buying" your own video recordings performance gradually degrades until the cameras no longer activate live. RING will state the issue is with your wi-fi. The same wi-fi that streams movies and operates along the network. The same network that has virtually no other services running after office hours won't activate any cameras. Cameras capture monitoring but do not activate. Don't fall for Amazon's latest scam.

I have 2 solar outdoor cameras, losing connection every few days. I am sick and tired of going up the ladder removing screw and resetting and still does not work, I have to spend at least 30 minutes on each camera to have it relink. Ring sucks, please do yourself spend 600 dollars and find wired security camera like Lorex and run wires and save recording locally. Ring is a joke, now they want me to purchase wifi extender even though I have 3 wired WIFI Routers within 15 feet from cameras. We need to file a class action law suit against Ring.

Have sales people that know the product. I called 3 times. No one could help me. I have a ring at my door. I spoke to my HOA association about it and they asked me to find out more and give them a presentation in the next meeting to see if we put it in the buildings. I could not print any information through your website or get any little video that last more than 30 seconds. Someone gave me a link to RING HOA and association for them to call me! And I can't even send the information, it does not go anywhere when I click send! This is very frustrating. All I want is for the association to see the options we have to get the ring.

Avoid ordering any devices online. They are very bad on communication and often provide the wrong information to return the camera's. I would buy them in the store. You call the philippines. Avoid online purchases.

It’s a waste of money. I had a key event that needed to record based on motion detected and it didn’t pick it up because apparently it only records every 3 mins!! I called customer service to help and the staff member was rude and laughed at me for thinking it recorded 24/7. He said it says it all over their website. Will be replacing the system.

I need a new security camera as i had three Amazon parcels stolen from my doorstep. I discovered Ring's doorbells and they are great. The website is easy to use and intuitive with a simple and secure checkout process. Product works great and easy to set up!

CRAP. I purchased a ring door bell from the rubbish company JL and developed a fault I called Ring who have promised a replacement. Still waiting.........Absolutely shocking service

Customer service simply doesn't work. Trying to return several items in two orders. Spent 40 minutes on their customer support service last week but did not get the promised 'returns labels'. Did the same again this week, only it took 55 minutes the second time and once again, no 'returns labels'.If I can't return the items (unused) even though it's less than a week since I received them and Ring's policy is 'no questions asked return within 30 days', how can I get my money back.For a reputable brand, this has to be one of the most disorganised and uncaring companies I've bought from in a long time.Completely at a loss to know what to do, so-called Ring Twitter help just keeps directing me to the same phone service that doesn't work.Horrible experience.

Absolute waste of money. Ring relies on the internet. If the internet goes down it won’t alert you so you have no idea your security is compromised so then what is the prurpose of it?

I have 2 Gen 1 ring doorbells. They're approximately 2 years old. Everything worked great... Until ring started adding features to the ring app (person detection, advanced motion, etc) then it all went downhill quickly. It started with intermittent problems viewing the feed on my fire tv. Then it was constant recording of black videos rather than an actual video. Then it was everything. No live view, black recordings, now motion and ring notifications are super slayed. Customer service is a joke and has been no help because they'll have me reset my doorbell, reconnect like its new, and it'll work for a few hours before it stops working again.
There's no easy way to reset the camera, either. You HAVE to unmount it to reset it. So, every day I'm resetting the camera for a whopping few minutes or couple hours of it mostly working.
Nothing in my home has changed. None of my other video security devices (Wyze, Vivint) have any issues whatsoever. I even went so far as to change the wifi it uses to another ssid for troubleshooting. Same problem exists.
It's more trouble than it's worth at this point. Ring needs to go back to the version that last worked... Which was maybe September or October 2020.
Buyer Beware!

Purchased Ring doorbell then called to cancel order 10 mins later. (They state orders can be cancelled within 50 mins of ordering). After 90 mins on phone told could not be cancelled as was outside of 50 mins limit. Asked for return address and would not provide. Promised to send a return label by email. Nothing arrived. Called again next day and after an hour told item to be collected by DPD. No confirmation and no collection.Am now left with doorbell I do not want and no way to return or get a refund.

They are not providing the service that they SELL to you. No recorded videos can be watched FOR HOURS - and they have the guts to f..ing lie on their website that "all systems are working". Just utterly pathetic to provide such a poor service and expect users to be happy with it.I highly recommend NOT investing into any Ring solution. Totally unreliable.The IT team is utterly incompetent and ring.com management does not give a sh it because they already have the devices sold and the subscriptions paid. DISHONEST AND - LOOKING AT THEIR PRICING - GREEDY LIKE CRAPP

Ring video doorbell system. Generally the servers are slow as can be. If someone isn't viewed just right, it tells you it detected something, but the video won't be ready to view for 15 minutes. My autistic stepson accidentally figured out how to completely walk within 2 foot of the camera, unlock enter the house, come back out, lock the door and not be detected as he walks away. Worst is trusting it to provide some security. If someone is lurching in your doorway, or dropping off a package. If they don't press the doorbell, Ring still sends a snapshot that someone may or may not be visible in, and you are left wondering if it's safe to open the door or not. You pull up live view to not see anything, so then time to check the recording. This is where you wait 15 minutes for their server to finally load and let you review the video. If you call customer care, most of the time overseas, to talk with a rep who doesn't understand English or that you are in a hurry because someone is trying to break into your house. You verify your name, email address, phone number, the code from an email they sent you, sign into your Amazon account, recite your wedding vows, and confirm your blood type. Ok not the last 2, but you will probably need to repeat several times due to bad English. Then explain what's going on, so they transfer you to technical support to start over explaining the problem, but only after verification again.

My children bought me a Ring doorbell last May which I was very pleased to accept and really needed. I started to use the doorbell as soon as I could, within 3 days tge battery was dead, my daughter contacted Ring who did nothing, she did this again still without any success, I have tried to contact Ring and no attempt to get back to me. I really want their product but as they have zero customer support I have decided to put this review on Trustpilot because I am sick of seeing their wonderful advertisements on tv. I was very excited to get the doorbell off my children but Ring your customer service is RUBBISH, avoid and buy another product
